Bargain price GL1800s

Castle Motorcycles, the Honda Dealer in Castleford, North Yorkshire, are currently offering a selection of three red GL1800s, all of which are airbag models and they are all well below the list price for a new one.

One of them is a bike loaned by HondaUK to the Organisers of the 2008 Blackpool Light Parade, for use by the Central Florida Motorcycle Drill Team.

The three bikes now at Castle Motorcycles are likely to be identical in specification, differing only in date of registration and mileage.  These range from continues………

Jeff Carr, who is a well known Winger in the North West is on the hunt for a GL1500 to restore to life.

It doesn’t matter if the bodywork is rough, damaged or if some is missing because Jeff has creative ideas and wants to do some pretty fundamental rebuilding. He has a track record of excellent work, so your neglected treasure will go to a good home and be born again in style.

Exchange a running Pan for a GL1500 casualty?

Jeff is also offering to exchange a suitable GL1500 for K Reg Pan European ST1100, taxed till Oct, MOT April 2010, in good running order, just been serviced belts and oil and filter. new back disk, and pads. and back box painted the same as the rest of the bike.

Stars & Stripes, or more formally the annual Classic American Car Show at Tatton Park in Cheshire, is always held on the weekend closest to July 4th and for some years it’s been a favourite for many Wingers, especially Pennine Wings, who have made it one of their main events and have welcomed other Wingers to join them for many years.

This year was no exception and there were 26 GoldWings there on the Display line on Saturday, more elsewhere on the Showground and even more on Sunday, when I forgot to count.  Wingers from several clubs came along , notable Staffordshire Wings and continues………

It’s time to share with you one of the difficulties we have been trying to overcome in arranging this years Blackpool Light Parade.

Because of this particular one, revised arrangements for the 2009 Blackpool Light Parade are in preparation and changes will appear on the BLP website as soon as they can be written and implemented.   Meantime here is the gist of it.

Unfortunately the Organisers have been forced to abandon plans for the usual type of marshalled Parade through the Illuminations for this year.  This follows a decision by Lancashire Constabulary to continues………
