GL1000 Executive 1977

The GoldWing Executive was a special edition of the GL1000 sold only in UK and only 51 bikes were made.

These bikes were commissioned by HondaUK which arranged for a batch of standard GL1000s to be specially adapted by Rickman (a British firm) iincluding special fairings and other accessories and for the bikes to be specially finished in black with gold coach-lining.  Each bike was numbered and they were sold through Honda Dealers in UK only.

This bike was first registered in 1977 and is painted as Number 19 of the series of 51.

It has done 45000 miles.  The frame has been powder coated. The tank panels, radiator shrouds, side panels have been resprayed to original black and gold pin striping by Dream Machine.

New front and rear chrome mudguards. New exhaust pipes. All this work carried out when I acquired it in 1987, but has been kept in garage under cover and looked after.

The bike has not been on the road for six years but it still starts and runs.

It needs someone who can give it a good home and look after it.

This luggage trailer is not your usual flimsy thing.  It’s the same moulding and construction as the manufacturer uses for a Trailer Tent, so it’s both spacious and robust.  It incorporates an extended towing arm on which is mounted a cool box carrier.  You can power your coolbox from the bike’s electrics and your beer woill be ready to drink immediately you arrive!

This British-made Micro Gem GoldWing luggage trailer was purchased new in 2006 and has been used only three times, including the time it was used to carry luggage behind the owner’s car.

It cost £2250 new and it is in as new condition.  It has always been dry-stored in a  garage when not in use.  The tyres still have their bobbles on, it has the expensive chrome top rack fitted as well as a spare wheel, a jockey wheel and extra side lights for safety. continues………

This 2004 GL1800 is a US model (with ABS) imported new by it’s first owner and now for sale by its second.

Colour: Candy Apple Red (R274)

First Registered: In UK in September 2004

Current Mileage: 35,805

MOT until May 2010, Taxed until  August 2010.

All paperwork relating to the import of the bike by the original owner and its FSH comes with it.  Frame recall checks done in May 2005.  New battery fitted in March 09.

Bargain price GL1800s

Castle Motorcycles, the Honda Dealer in Castleford, North Yorkshire, are currently offering a selection of three red GL1800s, all of which are airbag models and they are all well below the list price for a new one.

One of them is a bike loaned by HondaUK to the Organisers of the 2008 Blackpool Light Parade, for use by the Central Florida Motorcycle Drill Team.

The three bikes now at Castle Motorcycles are likely to be identical in specification, differing only in date of registration and mileage.  These range from continues………

It doesn’t matter if the bodywork is rough, damaged or if some is missing because Jeff has creative ideas and wants to do some pretty fundamental rebuilding. He has a track record of excellent work, so your neglected treasure will go to a good home and be born again in style.

Exchange a running Pan for a GL1500 casualty?

Here we have a 1991 Honda Goldwing GL1500 SE Anniversary Edition for sale.

The Wing has extensive service history from the last owner who had it 14 years & lots of old MOTs to verify the mileage. Recently fitted new oil, oil filter, fuel filter, timing belts, front o/s & n/s brake pads which was done @ 66805 miles.  Now has 67000 miles on it & increasing. continues………

The owner of this Ifor Williams BV105 Box Trailer has two GoldWing Trailers and shrinking space to store them so, despite only buying this one a few months ago and towing it for less that 1500 miles, it has to go.

Its a 2006 trailer built to the latest specification, fitted out to take a GoldWing and in excellent condition. continues………

For use in mainalnd Europe, not UK

Here’s one for viewers in mainland Europe who might be thinking of importinga GL1800 from UK because the Euro is so strong.

These headlamp units were removd from a GL1800 which was imported into UK from Germany in 2005, to be replaced by the UK equivalent. The dipped beam on these units favours the right hand side of the road, so they were not acceptable for use in UK.

They are as new and complete with all the rubber gaiters and even the light bulbs.

Ideal for converting a UK-sourced GL1800 for riding in mainland Europe.

A unique design, specially adapted for a GoldWing

If you want an open trailer to transport a GoldWing behind a motorhome, this one-off, professionally adapted (and originally professionally built) trailer is probably the best you could ever hope to find – and it’s for sale for £1, 295.

The owner has sold his Wing in favour of a smaller bike and he wants to trail both his and his son’s bike and this one’s not really suitable for adaptation to that role – and anyway it’s so well suited for use with a GoldWing that he wants a Winger to have the benefit of it rather than mess it about by converting it to a different use.

This trailer started life as a Kliponoff Trailer, so it was plenty strong enough to carry a Wing, even though it has a single axle.  It’s fully braked of course and continues………

As you can probably guess from the backdrop, this bike is not currently located in UK

Here is an unusual opportunity for UK Wingers to buy a nearly-new US Spec GL1800 and get help from the owner to ship it to the UK.  The bike is of course also for sale to American viewers too.

The Owner is Mark Madden, one of the Central Florida Motorcycle Drill Team who came to the 2008 Blackpool Light Parade.  And no, he hasn’t used this bike for Drill Team work, it’s been his second bike and he’s only done 2000 miles on it.
