Graham Coleman is selling his 2004 Candy Red GL1800, having ordered a new GoldWing.

This is a one-off single axle design with a payload of 540 kg, so enough to transport a GoldWing Trike yet light and manoeuvrable enough to tow behind a family car.

It has a purpose made loading skid and a fitted winch which makes loading a safe and controlled one-man operation.

Enclosed trailers which will carry a trike are very uncommon and trike owners usually have to resort to using a flatbed open trailer.  This one will keep your trike clean and dry in transit as well as providing a temporary garage when you get there.

By the way this doesn’t mean that Dave is giving up his servicing nad repair business, quite the oppoesite, he’s going from strength to strength.

The most polished trike in the world!

This one owner, US specification, less than 7,000 miles EML Martinique Trike has been polished endlessly and is in a near new condition as a 2003 GoldWing could ever be – and it’s for sale.

It has a chrome top box rack, chrome engine covers and lots of other chrome, tow bar with electrics, Tulsa screen fitted, but it does have the original one.  It also has one of those MP3 music players that pretends to be a Honda CD player and works with the bike’s built in controls and the display of disk and track number.

Because it’s a US spec GL1800 this trike can be fitted with a Hondaline CB radio should the new owner wish to do so.

The trike has also had quite a bit of discrete display lighting fitted for use in Light Parades.

A unique Custom GL1100 - click for an enlarged view

No two GoldWings are completely alike but just occasionally a very special one appears and Graham’s rebuilt and re-modelled GL1100 is nothing if not unique.

Graham took a GL1100 frame and engine, which he rebuilt internally to give it a completely new lease of life, then powder coated both to make them look like new, then installed a modified rear suspension and a marvellous combination of GL1500 trunk and GL1800 saddlebags, together with some parts from other bikes and some specially made panels to join them all up seemlessly, so that you would never believe this bike had not come off a production line or at least out of a manufacturer’s special build workshop.

It is simply stunning to look at and Graham has proved that it also works reliably by using it and taking it on long distance tours.

This GL1500 is a 1991 Canadian import model and is unfortunately for sale due to ill health.

It has 72,449 kilometres on the clock which is just over 44,200 miles.

Taxed until February 2012 and the MOT until September 2011.  It has  only done a few hundred miles since the last MOT and spent most of its time garaged through lack of use.

This is the top model of the year, fitted with reverse gear, not the lower spec one.  It runs perfectly, will make an ideal first GoldWing and is sensibly priced to sell.

As part of a restoration of one of these bikes a UK Winger needs the plastic mounting pod and ideally also the clock.

The pod is about two inches in diameter and four inches long.

It’s quite possible that this mounting pod was sold as an accessory or used for other vehicle applications in the late 1970s so if these pictures ring a bell of any sort and you might be able to help, please contact me via this Blog.

This is a genuine US Specification bike with Navi sat-nav, comfort pack, ABS and capable of accepting a Hondaline CB radio (not fitted).

It’s always been garaged.  Serviced since new by Ian Cardwell and shod with the best ‘Ultrasealed’ rubber (Avon Cobra tyres front and back) it benefits from an auxiliary iPod connection, 12v power socket and powered clothing connections, all professionally installed.

Full, documented and meticulous service history (thanks Ian), last major done at 40k.   It is tastefully dressed, as photos, and comes with complimentary full set of Goldwing GL1800 luggage bags (never used) and the latest ‘Optimate’ battery management system.

It has a secondary integrated GPS system professionally installed too, (Garmin 2610) with secure locking mechanism, for those used to planning tailored routes.

It has been a short and blissfull year of ownership for me, but I need to sell her on to someone who can do her more justice. She has now done only 42K and just a thousand miles in last 12 months.
