I'm sure Gary would have suggested that in humour if he had thought of it at the time but their rivalry is strictly friendly, keen though it also is and whatever they might say in jest. Bill couldn't offer help quick enough when the problem with Gary's bike arose and I have no doubt that Gary would have done the same if it had been the other way around. Two really nice blokes and of course two really nice bikes, each a fine example of their model.

One of the Stalls at Tatton was selling a bumper sticker reading "This is not an abandoned vehicle" and while I was tempted to buy it, I know that while bluetack and a superimposed false numberplate can't do any damage and he might eventually see the funny side of, actually sticking anything on Bill's paintwork would be a step way too far - and my dodgy hip would certainly prevent me from running fast enough to escape his wrath!

I will email the pictures of your outfit.

After reading this in Stuarts Blog......... Gary was polishing part of his bike with some sprayed stuff he had used many times before and for some unexplained reason the liquid marked the black plastic part with a streak……. I wonder if Bill had changed the label on the spray polish Garry had been using to clean his plastic to some type of solvent after the sign had been removed from Bill's bike?

Thanks for taking the pictures for me, regards peter
