Could this be the secret destination?
The Appy Wanderers Duo, Barry and Dave are planning a Treasure Hunt around the Yorkshire Dales for Sunday the 20th of September, ending up (if you solve all the clues) with a barbeque at or near a Dales Pub.
Barry would like to know if there will be sufficient interest to go ahead with it.
It’s not going to be difficult, so don’t worry, and I suspect that if you get lost and get too hungry to bother with any more treasure hunting, Barry will have a cunning plan to help you find the barbeque anyway.
You will be given locations to get to (so bring a decent map of the Dales) and when you reach them you will collect a clue. When you have collected all the clues, you will know where the treasure hunt ends and you will get fed. It should make for a great day’s riding with plenty of fun and laughter at the end – and maybe on the way too.
There will be prizes but also a few challenges to overcome.
There is a small entry fee of £5.00 per bike – note that is per bike not per person. It’s an event for individuals rather than clubs but Teams of two GoldWings will be acceptable if you would rather spend the day in company.
If the weather is poor, the plan is to run the Event anyway but allow people to come in a acar if they porefer. But it’s really a biking event so if it’s dry at the start, then its Goldwings only.
You will need to book a place on the treasure hunt (for catering purposes) but that will come later. For now Barry would just like expressions of interest, so he can decide whether to commit to doing it.
