First Prize was staying at Blackpool Pontin’s for the Light Parade weekend next year – but maybe they’ll let him stay at another of their sites for a weekend sometime instead!!!!

Yes you are right of course, not winning the best lit bike is not the worse thing that’s happened in my life Stuart…..LOL…and I will live to fight another day.

As far as your offer of counselling goes…I am affraid to tell you that I am way beyond help, so ride safe and keep well…

Maybe they used a torch! I was speculating about the reason in a light hearted way PapaJoe, so I don’t really know why you only got third. I appreciate that you put a lot of effort into that spectacular Blackpool Tower trailer and I think it was brilliantly done. You’ll just have to take it on the chin – all I can offer is access to Counselling should the grief become unbearable!

One of my ideas for next year is that we need more award categories, so things like best improver, best spectacle, so maybe you won’t need to buy a new trike after all!

Best wishes to a stalwart supporter of the BLP – maybe we should have an award for tht too!

Hi Stuart, I had a great time as usual at the BLP and while not wishing to complain about the result of the best lit bike competition or sound like Sour Grapes, I would like to point out that as I did not arrive in Pontins till about 7 PM so I can’t see how the judges could have looked at my own trike in daylight & Detail.

Yes I had a few wires showing but I thought I was entering a “Best Lit Bike” competition and not a “Best Hide The Wires” Competition…!!!
