Hey, just wanted to let you know this came up as I was searching google for a similar problem. I too just replaced my tail lights with LED lights. I find them to be brighter, faster in response, and overall safer.

I do not have a bike, rather an 03 Hyundai Tiburon. While driving right after I put the lights in, my cruise would not set. I had my running lights on, but never thought to try it with them off. I had read elsewhere that if you place a resistor in parallel with the LED bulbs, it can solve this issue. Since I don't have a bike, I can't test this, but I can only guess that schematics are similar for the circuitry.

whether my comment is helpful/relevant or not, great post/article. I always love to tinker and find the right solution for a problem.
